The Home Building Academy prepares graduates with technical and employability skills needed for a successful career in the home building industry. Trained graduates are available for hire throughout the year.

Taught by skilled trades instructors

• Graduates receive a Home Builder Institute pre-apprenticeship certificate in their trade of study and OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.
• Students accumulate over 300 hours of training.
• The Academy recruits a diverse pool of students to train in our various trades.
• The Academy’s training is grounded by the industry’s National Construction Skill Standards Board and the American National Standards Institute. The (ANSI)-approved National Green Building Standard™ are taught by experienced instructors through HBI’s Residential Construction Academy Series textbooks and instructional aides.
